We are searching for dancers and movers with artistic ideas they would like to explore as a part of Dans/5. Do you want to work on your project, be a part of a community and show your work to an audience? If so, you should apply for this year's Dans/5! You can apply on your own, or as a part of a group/ensemble. 

 

Dans/5 gives newly established dancers an opportunity to explore, create and show. We want to be an arena that facilitates a safe artistic process - all projects get their own mentor that follows your process. 

 

We are now looking for five projects for a new season of Dans/5. Each project gets time for rehearsals and exploration at Trikkehallen that concludes in a 15 min long showing for an audience. We are searching for variations in solos, duets and group projects - all genres and styles. 

 

To apply you have to be between the age of 18-35 and a resident in Norway. You have to have an interest in your own development as a newly educated dancer and mover. You also have to have relevant education or equivalent experience in dance and/or movement. You can not apply if you receive a work scholarship or have participated in Dans/5 before. Mandatory dates:

10.07.25: Meeting and workshop for all participants 

11.07.25: Production meeting, Trikkehallen på Kjelsås

12.07.25 - 27.07.25: Rehearsals at Trikkehallen - time in the studio is planned together with the participants

28.07.25 - 02.08.25: Production week and showings/performances, Trikkehallen på Kjelsås

 

We are working on the possibility of organizing a performance September 6th, and it is desired that participants also have the opportunity to attend September 5th and 6th.

As a participant in Dans/5 you get: 

- An opportunity to work with your own project

- A mentor that supports you in your process

- A workshop

- A supportive community

- Rehearsal space at Trikkehallen, Kjelsås in the end of July/start of August 2024 

- A performance fee for three showings/performances

- Guidance relating technical rehearsal
- Promotion of your project in social media

- Photos and video-documentation
